Well it would appear that juliensimons own personal little shadow has seemingly made his way here as well. For those of you who aren't familiar with me, I go by the username alter-ego but registered as Duke here as that's pretty much who I am everywhere.

How did you hear about us?
js dragged me here

What are your interests?
Being the best father I can be to my awesome, AWESOME, AWESOME 14 year old daughter.

How long have you been using the internet and forums?
I've been membering at forums in some capacity for approx. 12 years now. I usually only frequent a handful of forums and as such usually wear a staff tag of one degree or another. I've worn many hats such as mod, super mod, site admin, admin, news reporter, editor, editor 'n chief, and even adminned gaming servers both in the US and Europe.

Anything else you need to know, just ask

Thank you for taking part in this interview, Duke. We appreciate your time and effort and we look forward to getting to know you.
Enjoy the forums!
No problem at all :3smile:

Wow, thanks for the overwhelming response.

I actually had little time last night to spend onsite as I've been working stupid hours at my dayjob and as such, only had time to create one topic and butcher another with two responses (that I think were moderated) and then succumb fully to my Nyquil geltabs.

And welcome...

27-11-2009, 09:04 AM
What if you especially enjoy biting your tongue? Is that allowed?

ewomack
27-11-2009, 09:08 AM
You can only bite the tongues of others. I think the rules state that pretty clearly.

Cryren8972
27-11-2009, 09:19 AM
Oh...
well then can I ask someone to bite mine for me? That would be a new experience, kind of like using someone else's hand...

Speaking of biting your tongue.

*I'm biting mine right now*

You can bite the tip of your tongue when your throat is so dry that you can't swallow and there's no liquid handy, just do it as hard as you can stand it for about 20 seconds or so and when you release it, saliva glands will start secreting and you'll have something to swallow. I learned that from when I used to shoot pharmaceutical speed, being cranked out makes your throat dry.

Cryren8972
27-11-2009, 11:41 AM
I'll keep that in mind if I ever shoot speed.
Thanks Atom!
Once again, you're here to educate!

Once again, you're here to educate! You do not need to shoot speed to have a dry throat.

More words of wisdom..
do you have any more?

Atom
27-11-2009, 12:17 PM
Seriously, Cry, that saliva trick is a good one to know, it really can be useful, I've used it many times when liquid wasn't handy for many dry throats that were caused by things other than speed. I was just saying that that is how I learned the trick.

Atom
27-11-2009, 12:21 PM
The dry throat that occurs from being cranked out is rather extreme.

Atom
27-11-2009, 12:22 PM
I somehow get the feeling that you are not happy with me because I've not gotten back to you in PM, but I intend to. I'm just very slow sometimes, Cry.

Cryren8972
27-11-2009, 12:24 PM
Atom, I'm not being mean, am I?
I was kidding around with you....
I have better ways to moisten my throat. Water is my first choice. However, if I ever find myself in the position to have an extremely parched throat and no water, your trick will prove useful.

Cryren8972
27-11-2009, 12:24 PM

However, if I ever find myself in the position to have an extremely parched throat and no water, your trick will prove useful. What do you mean you have better ways to moisten your throat? I clearly said that this was for those times when you don't have liquid available, and yes, I do think that you are being mean, I just am not sure why and all I can think of is that it's because I didn't get back to you in PM, but you must remember my phobia. Let's not forget about that. lol

Atom
27-11-2009, 12:38 PM
I've still to think up the most accurate name for the phobia. The existing names are all so boring. I need an original name for mine. lol

Cryren8972

BTW, that tongue biting trick is really handy for when you're riding in a vehicle, let's say, and your throat is dry but you need to swallow a couple of pills, Ibuprofen or whatever, but you have nothing to drink with you.

I just happened to have a dry mouth while reading this post.

It works. Nice trick Atom!

I cannot confirm because I do not have a dry throat nor do I have any pharmaceutical speed. Sometimes nature doesn't answer your calls.

Atom
28-11-2009, 11:12 PM
You don't need to have a dry throat to try it, doing it should just add more saliva than what's already there.

Atom
28-11-2009, 11:19 PM
It's when the saliva turns red that you probably need to start thinking about backing off on the pressure a bit. lol

Atom

Hugaphobia?Yes. I think I have that, I'm always embarrassed by hugging, even members of my bio family. Hugging isn't something I've engaged in as a rule, I usually avoid it at most all costs.

Atom
29-11-2009, 09:11 AM
Oh, add "Spit Conjurer" to the title list!Yes that's right, and how many other SC's do you know? None right? There ya go. Do drugs, kids, you find cool stuff out.

Like I said I probably should not have even mentioned where I learned it.

Atom

Thank god doctors stopped prescribing that good pharma crank, now that was some addictive stuff. They stopped giving it out back in the 80's.

Atom
29-11-2009, 09:54 AM
From what I understand, the crankers today do bathtub meth which is primarily the same thing.

Atom
29-11-2009, 10:04 AM

welcome, Duke. lol
