Howdy Folks,

Since most of us are the geeky type here I'm looking for an app for windows that does whois lookups and stuff like that. On the Linux or even on a Mac I can type whois domain.com into terminal and get all the domain info I want. I realize I can just do it through a browser but like the idea of a separate app.

Bonus points if it's a command line utility since I always seem to have command prompt open anyhow.

Thanks,
Dan

Site Information Tool :: Add-ons for Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5607)

For online queries I find Sitedossier (http://www.sitedossier.com/) to be very handy, and it doesn't try to charge you money like whois.net.

I've been using WhoisCL for a while, though I can easily log into my server and do a WHOIS, too. Server WHOIS is actually faster.

True didn't even think of that I normally have a shell open anyhow.
