Gastronomy?

Is that, like, when you eat a lot of broccoli and baked beans and wash it down with coke and then see what happens?

Welcome to BTW, Damo.

You'll find a friendly, relaxed atmosphere here, but we sometimes discuss the serious stuff too.
(Like gastronomy!) :sqerr: :sqeek: :sqwink:

G'day Sami...

Hard to say "favourite" place to visit....Been too many places, and still got far more places to go and visit!

I am a serious Nomadic... born Canberra, lived in Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania, left home at 18, went all over Queensland, New Zealand, Bali, Singapore, Malaysia, back to Queensland, then Back to Tasmania and lived at Cradle Mountain in Tasmania for 2 years, then moved to South Australia for 6 months, then went on 5500kms road journey in my car from South Australia to Victoria, NSW, QLD again, then onto Northern Territory, and came to Alice Springs, originally came here for 3 months before I move on to Perth, Western Australia, but my workplace offered me great salary increase and bonus package, and I am finding myself still here in the damned desert 19 months later.... LOL!

Since I am a newbie here, I cannot post links/images... but google image "Cradle Mountain, Tasmania", "Coles Bay, Tasmania", "Cameron Highlands, Malaysia" and check out "Great Keppel Island, Queensland" (where I lived on Island for nearly 2 years before moved to Cradle Mountain, Tasmania.)

These places above I mentioned are my fave places so far to date....

But in May 2010, that could change when I officially go on two months leave to Europe and meet my relatives in Finland, and mates all over Europe...

Can't wait!!!!!

Hi

Nomadic. I just call myself a Gypsy. "Great Keppel Island, Queensland" looks absolutely stunning.

Did you have internet there? It would be perfect. Wiki don't say to much what is the weather like there?

If it's in Queensland the weather is probably nice. Gold Coast is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.

Tropical Paradise :)

Average 30-35C degrees for 9 months of the year then average 18-25C degrees for 3 months during "winter" which includes roughly a week or two of 10-15C degrees, got average 280-300 days of sunshine a year on the island :sqcool:

Hottest weeks in middle of summer reaches average 35-40C degrees for couple of weeks.

Had to leave after 2 years, too many parties on that Island. LOL! :3tongue:

Vecto, Sorry, I am not really fan of Gold Coast, the skyscrapers on the beach puts me off. :sqerr:

Yeah had internet on the island, but that was several years ago, when the wireless boardbrand internet technology was in the new stages in Australia, and very expensive back then, had "Dial Up" internet on the Island, very slow :)
