How do you set this up for your site(s)? Using Google Analytics right now, but have read where people are using AwStats in conjunction with GA. Is this advisable? Is there a better one, Webalizer, etc.?

AWStats is part of cpanel (http://www.cpanel.net/).

Do you have cpanel on your server?

Are you hosted with Google or something?
I don't know anything about their hosting interface.

I have my own VPS hosting with Servint (http://www.servint.net/index.php?refid=EEF206452450) and have cPanel installed on my server.
AWStats is part of cPanel.

GoDaddy. :(

Do I need to install cpanel and then awstats? Is there something better? Is there any reason to since I'm using Google Analytics? It looks like there is a stat log that comes with Godaddy...I'm checking it out now.

Nah, that won't work. It's only set up for my "mother domain"...

GA should be fine unless there is a specific need for AWS.

Stats will only do one of two things for you anyway...

1. Make you frustrated because you see how few visitors you have
2. Make you wonder why so many people visit your site and never buy a damn thing

I dig my AWStats, but, as said above, the low numbers make me want to lie in a shallow pond...
