He snuck up on me with that damn rook! Go look at the game and do the replay thing...I was keeping my eye on him for hours and then I returned to the game (you know how it is) and totally forgot that he had that rook lurking! He nailed me faster than Julien has sex! Great game and an excellent win!

Move your Queen to that spot instead of the pawn and it's a whole different ballgame.

Ran into one guy who turned into quite the asshole when he started losing...
What's the matter? Don't know how to just end the game?

Seriously... at the time I received his first message, I only had a knight and a rook on his king and moving the knight would have meant sacrificing the rook. Do you think that's what he wanted?
In any event, I do my fair share of losing, so I try to treat people who are losing against me as gently as I can, until I get attitude from them.

I read somewhere that getting mate with just a rook and a knight is nigh on impossible. He was probably trying to rush you or get you to throw the game. Some people are just sore losers, best chalked up to experience and avoid him in future.
It is a shame you don't have the facility to leave feedback on players, it should be like on ebay. Who would want to play with a guy like that if forewarned.

You can pause your games while you go "on vacation" and you also have the option to increase the time between moves to 5, 7 or 14 days.

I forgot about that option and went on a real vacation and left three games to waist. Lost them all ofcourse. :sqembarrassed: AND I was winnig!!
