Just because the event couldn't be duplicated using his car doesn't mean he's lying. On the other hand he might just want money.

Believe it or not, from what I've seen at work, it's more likely that he was angry because his car wasn't included in the recall. He wanted to "prove" a point. Any Toyota owner that comes into the shop that is concerned with the recall is given the instructions to put the car in neutral and press the brake. Not to mention, it's been all over the news. So how did this guy not know to do that?
