Who thinks of this stuff?
And better yet...who said, "Yeah, that's a great idea!"?

Guilty I'm afraid. :3embarrassed:
Although I think primary kids are a bit young, shock the hell out of secondary kids by all means.

Sure...my son had heard all about sex and STD's...but when I asked him the 100% sure way to prevent STD's and pregnancy, he was stumped. He knew that condoms were effective, but not 100% safe. Abstinance shocked the hell out of him...
Luckily, he was receptive to the information, but they never mentioned it in schools.

Wow, talk about traumatizing... not to mention a very poor taste thing to do.
"Mr Hollands has apologised for upsetting the children and vowed not to repeat the trick, in which a clapper board was used to simulate gunfire."
Well I should hope not, MORON! I said it before, the gene pool is just too damn thin.

A certain amount of emotional maturity is required for abstinence I think and being able to talk about such things with a caring adult with your best interests at heart will help him develop that maturity. You sound like a good mum doing the right thing.
I wish they would clone you. :sqwink:

Hehhe, and handcuffs, no, forget the handcuffs, those only make it more interesting.
You could also put your kids on a remote island if you want them to go with the abstinence thing, or lock them up somewhere.

He's only 12 at the moment, and actually seemed relieved that he had an excuse (cooties) to abstain. I'm sure when he's a teenager he'll have a different perspective, but I feel I would be remiss in not mentioning it as a viable option.
