I just came across this article and thought I'd share;

The Dawn of a New Epoch? (http://www.physorg.com/news188814983.html)

For decades now I witness humanity, et all ignoring the consequences of their own pollution on the environment, every day literally dozens of species disappear from the face of the earth due to humans' activity, I guess we are now reaching a point where indeed, the consequences will be manifesting itself in such a manner that ignoring will not be possible any more, there will be too many humans dying because of it.

Our impact is as nothing compared to the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs and wiped most of life off the face of this Earth. I believe that figure was in the 90% range. But in the last 200 hundred years we have had a devastating effect on our planet. What is scary though is that we have no where else to go, this is it folks, when it is gone, it is gone. Kiss it goodbye while you can!

Coincidently I heard an interesting thing the other day. With the increased use of catalytic converters in cars, which use silver, road surfaces have such a high level of silver content that very soon it will become cost effective to dig up the roads and extract that silver using the e-coli bacteria.

Also the best source of gold and copper is old mobile phones, don't just give them away people!
