Some people are just talented! I thought about this thread after seeing Strong's post over there (http://www.btwimho.com/showthread.php?t=201):
I believe I am so talented that nobody understands my art. I'm the post mortem famous kinda guy.
Anyway, this thread is about sharing work form artists that we like.
I'll start this thread by posting this video.

Interesting medium. Etch-a-sketch has come a long way.

I forgot about etch-a-sketch before you mentioned it again.
thanks for that memory...I loved that toy!
I was the type that gave up rather readily. I think I was about 5 y/o, maybe 7. Slinky was quite a challenge too, I was not easily amused I guess. lol

That's hilarious! I couldn't stand either one of those damn things either! I liked tipping the slinky back and forth from one hand into the other 'cause it made me feel like a card sharp but that was it.
I used to take complicated things apart and not put them back together. I was known for doing that as I was so often reminded by my parents. There was genius behind the mannerism, however. Not a lot of people realize that. If you've figured out how something worked, then your task was complete.
Today, I've evolved to where I can fix anything mechanical, electrical/electronic, or electromechanical. Weird. I think it's inherited.

I used to do that all the time as a kid.
I always wanted to know how things worked.
Most of the time, I was able to put them back together again, due, I'm sure, to my stopping when it began to get confusing. LOL!

LOL!I saw no need to put up with the frustration of having to put things back together, I considered that just an unnecessary chore, until I grew up, that is. Now I know how to do both and repair the item as well.
I also have improved many designs, but that's not hard in this age of cheap crap, you know?
Take a common fly swatter for example.. they last a year, two at best.
Yes I understand that a fly swatter is neither in the mechanical nor electrical group, it's in the aerodynamic group. lol

I think Atom has excelled the Art of Ranting :)
I thought it was a pesticide. No no, that's going backward. Let's be thinking green here shall we?
lol
I think Atom has excelled the Art of Ranting :)I agree 78 and seven tenths percent with this thought.

Successfully took a carburetor from my Honda Civic apart, cleaned it and put it back together in my early twenties. Don't know if I could replicate that feat today.

How interesting. Did he actually do that, or is it a photo creation?

Cool. That takes a lot of talent to figure something like that out. Either that or it was all a mistake...
