Zap, can you change the max file size width to 800px and the height to 600px?

Explained in the other thread.
I'm going to try a plugin that will autoresize IMG tagged files.

I have this 24" screen (1920x1080) and lost complete touch of what's large or not.

I know what you mean. I've got a 17" laptop with a wider than normal screen resolution, so I tend to post images at 1024x768 or larger but it throws the design of the forum off for others. :sqfrown:

One of his many talents is using his art as a diplomatic re-request that the max file size be limited (http://www.btwimho.com/showpost.php?p=3569&postcount=1). lol!

Cool pic Atom. I like how you signed it.

This plugin only changes the image size when displaying the thread.
When posting to the thread, it's still full size.

Zap, I guess you'd better ditch that plugin, my reply window is over 2000px wide. lol

Yeah. When replying, it doesn't work. It only works when viewing the thread, which is better than nothing.

Yeah. When replying, it doesn't work. It only works when viewing the thread, which is better than nothing.Yeah. I should think between the lot of us that we should be able to find some script wizard that could fix that though, or find the right script somewhere.

(...)Actually 800px would have increased it slightly from what it was. But it's no biggie really. With the current plugin, I just re-size any pic over 730px wide to 730px wide before posting it, then the whole pic will fit but won't trigger the plugin. Make sure "constrain proportions" is checked when resizing.

Also, I just start with a 730px wide canvas in PS to create art to be posted. Most of my previous art is at 800px wide so I just resize to 730px any ones that I want to post since the installation of the new plugin, which BTW is perfect, it keeps the page intact nicely.

A pic as wide as the one in post #15 can't be resized to fit forum pages without significant loss of resolution, making it impractical in the case of huge images. For those, just go ahead and post them as is and let the plugin take over.

Actually I shouldn't have named this topic File Size because it was about image dimension. I cannot for the life of me figure out why I called it File Size.
