Researchers in Japan have successfully grown replacement teeth in mice, according to a report in PNAS journal.

This is pretty amazing. A story I can really sink my teeth into. After having a sweet tooth I'll probably need some new teeth one day. But I don't want to look like a rat! ;)
One day, we'll go to the dentist, get an injection into the gums and be done with it.
No more fillings! :)

My little boy has got his front bottom milk teeth falling out and the replacements have already come through just behind them. It looks really uncomfortable.
Well my wallet is uncomfortable. ;)
What clever clogs thought up that Tooth Fairy story.
Growing teeth as I remember was quite an uncomfortable experience.
Losing them is no fun.
Actually, a lot of "teeth stuff" can be painful.
Pulled teeth, losing teeth, holes in the teeth, too cold teeth, too hot teeth.

Growing teeth, limbs, organs, that is the next big leap in medicine I think. And genetic engineering of course.
What scientist will do to attract the girls ;)

How awful! When I was a kid, I had teeth that were very crooked and my brother called me shark mouth until I got my braces, then he couldn't. =)

I hear they're coming out with pocket protectors that smell like musk.

This reminds me dentist story about guy who asked to pull all his teeth except for one so he can have tooth ache sometimes

A few years back, I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth yanked in one session. For about two weeks I felt like a Japanese supersonic train was riding over my gums. Those were great times. Plus all of those confused people from Kyoto coming out of my mouth every 15 minutes...

In a manner of speaking kiddo. I should have warned you...be prepared for incessant innuendos over here!

Should I ever need dentures, I will get them made to look like my not so perfect teeth. I had a customer come in my shop today and she had new teeth. I couldn't stop staring. She all of a sudden has perfect (fake) teeth. She looks like a different person. I don't think they were all that bad (aesthetically). Will they make dentures so they are not perfectly straight?

Yeah, they'll make them any way you like them.

Any thread about teeth needs to be bumped back up to the front of the pack.
The fake teeth you get at the dentist?
Not fake at all, but REAL teeth!
Now you know what happens to all those teeth that get yanked out, including yours.
They go to dental labs that will sterilize them and use them for dentures, etc.
That includes if you have teeth implants.

Wow, didn't know that. I've only ever had the plastic ones.
Teeth are important, that's probably why I don't have any.
