If I remember, black is the absence of color...although you would think it would be all of the colors combined.

It depends, if you are mixing coloured light you end up with white, but if paint then a mushy dirty brown/grey is the result.

Black is the absence of light, without light you can't see colours. Proof, turn the lights out at night. :sqbiggrin:

Light is white, all the colours. When you see a red piece of paper, what you are seeing is a piece of paper that has absorbed all the other colours and is reflecting the red light into your eyes.

When playing with plasticine as a child I'm sure we all remember that colour. It always started out nice and bright with different colours, but ended up as monochrome mush.

If the beginning of this dry spell we're having atm hadn't coincided out of phase with the then current mowing schedule, the lawn wouldn't be a forest right now, the onset of the dry season needs to occur when the lawn is at it's lowest, which did not happen this time, oh well.

Once the onset occurs, the growth slows down.
