Howdy Folks,

Since it seems most of us are all webmaster types here I'm wondering how many of us have personal blogs. I have one that I've kept going for a few years, I lost about a year and half worth of posts about a year or so ago but I still have a decent post count in the past few months I've largely taken a break from it...It keeps boring talking to myself sometimes. :D

I mostly posts thoughts and ideas on random things, a few how-tos here and there.

What do you post on yours and how frequently?

I just started one which is solely dedicated to what we ate that day. It's my first and only blog. I was diligent for a week or so...then I stopped. I mean, feckin' turkey sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, turkey sandwiches...Jesus.

I've meant to start one for a while to keep my parents and friends in france updated to what I do.
I think it's also a good thing because it's like an online diary so 5 /10 / 15 years down the road, I can just click on the archived posts and check what I did summer 69...09 I mean.

I'll get to it soon!

Like Sparta, mine's in a dilapidated state. For some reason it still gets hits. Wow! I found a post that's 7 months old! How interesting!!!

I don't even keep up on my regular blogs. I'd never get around to posting on a personal one.

I've been thinking of deleting my blog. I don't do much on it anyway. I could put all the info together and send it as a pps in an email. that way I know that the people that I want it to be seen by would see it and could reply directly. Lots of my contacts don't want to leave "personal comments" on the internet.

I think I just might do that....

Blogs have turned out as one of those things that everyone thought was a great idea but few people end up following through on because people can find much better ways of spending their time...

Plus I think Facebook and Twitter took over because you can just post a few words to indicate your mood/location/status at that moment in time and this appeals to the laziness of most of humanity.

Have I ever mentioned that I loath Facebook?

Ed is now feeling a little like something has eaten his testicles from the inside out.

I should put that on Facebook.

I have a page, yes, but I've mostly abandoned it.

^ didn't quite understand the analogy. I was just about to try and think more deeply as to what he could mean and thought better of it. Ed is like a willo-the-whisp, I dare not follow sometimes :sqlaugh:

All who follow are not lost...

Except those who followed Jim Jones, I guess... or the Branch Dividians...

Perhaps I need some better examples of sheephood...

All who follow are not lost...

Isnt that in the national anthem of the lemmings? Think it followed the verse that says "If we all stick together everything will work out". Hell I dunno, I was married to a corporate lemming once, but I didnt pay close attention, much less take notes.

I do maintain a personal blog, though "maintain" is a loose interpretation meaning "post sporadically". All my readers agree that it's wonderful, but if I dont get a vote then only half my readers agree on it.

I appreciate the insertion of lemmings into this thread. It needed it...

One can never have too many lemmings.*
