Was driving with my folks this morning to the beach when we came upon a rollover crash just moments after it occurred. There were bodies sprawled all across the median with 1 obviously dead.
We got home and saw on the news that a 15 year old girl died and 4 others in the car were seriously injured. All were ejected during the crash :(
1 dead, 4 badly hurt in Richmond crash (http://newsblog.projo.com/2010/07/1-dead-4-badly-hurt-in-richmon.html)
Wear your seatbelts, friends.
I always do, regardless of the laws where I'm driving.
What's scarier than a seatbelt law?
Newton's Laws, as they apply to humans and cars.

I don't drive if everybody in the car isn't buckled. It's the drivers' responsibility after all if something happens.
Another driving advice: respect the speed limit. See below how the danish do it. I say this would cause more accidents than anything else but that's just my view...

Big Ju are you living in France fulltime now?
I've got plenty of scars to prove that not wearing seat belts works.

Nope - I have been in Canada for about 3 years now. (perhaps a tiny bit more).
I come back to France about once a year for about 3 weeks...this year will be august to haev a ceremony to celebrate my wedding in France because none of my family or friends could come to Canada (too short notice and too expensive).
So I will be on the same time zone (almost) as Strongy in August but won't really have much time for forums. (preparing a wedding, going to an island for a week where there is no internet etc...)

Same thing happened with me.
I got married in Moscow = no family or friends present on my side.

Those Danes are almost as cool as the Dutch. :sqlaugh:
Of course in the UK they prefer to do these things via legislation. The Brits need to be more European I think.
Well I really don't see why we don't see more designer clothing made with seat belts. I just can't figure it out.

What about the speeding women?
My nephews had black clothing with all manner of chains and shiny things all over it, the local adolescent fad I guess, they've grown out of it recently, I didn't notice one seat belt though, thought that was a bit odd.

What about the speeding women?
women would see that too -they would just not be distracted enough to crash into each other...

Well... if you're not hit or injured while an accident goes on, I guess...
Perhaps we'd best ask the bra vendor automaton above you...

Bras, air bags, it all makes sense eventually.
