Well if I could take something back out of history it would be Thatcherism. Growing up through that was tough, and it left many nasty things in the British nature; a greed and self-centredness, a kind of dog-eat-dog attitude that lingers to this day. I know selfish.
Oh, and that silly 'special relationship' that came to the fore between Thatcher and Reagan. The world could have done without that.
