View Full Version : Water Powered Car
Yeah. That's right!
This car runs on water, not gasoline.
Actually, it's a hybrid, running on both, but can run on water only!

He says he is using electricity to convert the water into it's component gases. What I want to know is where that electricity is coming from and how fast the process actually is. I didn't think that the process was fast enough to produce the quantity needed in a car fast enough. Thus the gases had to be stored in a reservoir/store. Both gases are very volatile and heat sensitive. Dangerous stuff to store.
I'm sceptical at this stage, at least until more details are release about the process.
Many car manufacturers are working on hydrogen fuel cells and hydrogen powered combustion engines at present. I really hope this guy has made a break through.

That video has been around for quite a while now. I first saw it some years ago. Ever now and then it would come to mind and I'd wonder why we haven't heard more about it. Maybe the Exxon lobbyist$ ca$t their magic $pell$. lol!

I hope not. I sincerely hope this guy can't be bought.

The controversy around Preston Tucker (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preston_Tucker) may prove instructive here. Notice that his car was a "hybrid" (i.e., still dependent on gas). The powers that power our cars are powerful indeed. They could buy him or ruin him.

He might not be bought out but legislators have proved time and again that they can be. And they make the rules based on who pays more (oops, I meant based on what's best for the country).

Preston Tucker, good example Ed, and your last two sentences are astute indeed.
He uses only four ounces of water for a hundred mile trip.

Hi,
I saw the movie about Howard Hughes' life he buildt a steam car.
I wonder how much it costs to convert. I bet the government is gonna pay a ton for that Hummer.

Four ounces of water, think of it.
That is amazing if they figured out how to propell a 3-4,0000 lb. vehicle a hundred miles on 4 ounces of water. I suspect that it's a conversion that results in two atoms of hydrogen and one of oxygen, the other oxygen atom in water being replaced by a hydrogen atom, thus the HHO engine.
Or I suppose it could be some clever acronym, but I'm inclined to not think so. I probably should read up on it but I'm approximately 84% sure that I do not due to slight intoxication at this time, and certainly not laziness. Although on second thought I have been known to have a lazy mind in the past, I mean, after all, I did have to repeat the second grade due to what I like to think is stubbornness but was probably in reality simply a lazy mind. I at this particular time must caution you that this is an untested theory. I refused to learn math because I thought it was useless. lol

And do you still feel the same about maths?

There are on the roads of the USA quite a few cars that only take water.
Breaking down the molecules of water into oxy and hydro.
Then there are the legions of steam powers cars.
But the neatest?
Cars powered by AIR....
Must find some video or sites to show this.
Yes you must, Dawg, that sounds interesting.

Saw it on discovery channel or some other cable channel.
In France some guy makes and sells air powered vehicles.
Run off canisters of pressurized air.
Neat as heck...

Jeez I'd hate to think that we could have been commuting by air all this time, what in the heck is up with this gasoline thing anyway? I'm not impressed. We've got the sun, water, electricity and a few others, something is rotten in Denmark, I think it's starting to turn now but slowly.

Remember, electric cars need electricity....and guess where the vast majority of electricity comes from?
Coal, oil, natural gas...top three...

Coal, oil, natural gas...top three...The sun. We just haven't figured out how to amplify it adequately yet.
