Went to switch out the default avatar tonight and noticed it's a JPG.

She was actually telling me personal stuff about herself, something she hasn't done before during the many visits prior. I found that a bit weird. I suppose that she was simply in some kind of a mood.

Maybe you have an honest face, and she felt comfortable talking to you. That's OK though, you fixed it. :sqlaugh:

No harm in keeping in shape, now is there? :sqwink:True. I never know when some hot babe is going to come crashing through the ceiling into my lap. lol

Like hot nurse practitioners?

Like hot nurse practitioners? No, she's married. I don't mess with them married ones. If that actually happened with her I'd have to dump her off onto the floor. lol

We have had some spats. Maybe she was just trying to make up from our last one. lol

We argue over the legitimacy of Tramadol. She keeps trying to tell me that it isn't harmful and I keep telling her that she is wrong, but she won't listen to me. She's the know it all type. She's actually smart but inexperienced.

Tramadol is an opiate like substance that has some severe side effects in the form of wild depression swings during withdrawal, for one.

Are you currently taking Tramadol? Or are you just having a discussion about it? I'm going to have to go Google now! =)

Are you currently taking Tramadol? Or are you just having a discussion about it? I'm going to have to go Google now! =)No. She keeps trying to give it to me but I won't take it, that's a dangerous one for me, I've given it a good test run in the past.

Wow, it's an opioid that interferes with the reuptake of serotonin and certain hormones. Doesn't sound like safe stuff to me. Anytime you mess with the reuptake of neurotransmitters, you could potentially be talking about destroying those same neurotransmitters causing you to be reliant on the medication in order for your brain to function normally.
Crazy stuff.

Yeah. It's pretty severe, the depression it causes when you stop taking it. Thank god it only lasts about a week. It's a whole different story from opiates but it's dangerous just the same because it's similar enough in chemical structure.

She's inexperienced with these drugs. That's actually just the kind of people that big pharma wants doling out their moneymaking drugs. I don't mention that in our discussions though, that's taboo, unfortunately.

I have told her repeatedly and outright that Tramadol is not a drug to be doling out like Ibuprofen, but that's what they do. They'll give it to just about anyone.

It's because they've been fed the hype, and the pharmaceutical companies push whatever drug makes them the most money at the time.
It's all about the cash, they couldn't care less if you feel better, or get better. It's one of those subjects that gets me upset...

Since when you start following taboos?

fastrepliesBig pharma and public health departments are so intertwined that if you try to raise any suspicion, you're looked at as simply an ignorant civilian troublemaker and given a bare minimum of service. More stealthy methods must be employed, and I do employ them. It irritates the heck out of them lol.

With most of these NP's, I don't think that it's so much a case of intellectual conditioning but rather lack of actual personal experience with these drugs. I know you can't expect these so called professionals to attain this range of experience, but it troubles me that they won't even listen to people that obviously possess this experience. I know full well that they simply are saying to themselves, well jeez, you didn't go to college and study this stuff, who the hell are you? I think that that's a big mistake on their part.
