Do any of you have "freak out" moments? You know...that moment you realize you care about someone? Do you panic?
I have....
I have friends that do.
But not everybody does.
How do you handle it? What form does it take with you? In other words, do you run, do you cling, do you get angry, irritable, what?

I met a girl when I was 8 (so was she). We both loved to read among many other similar interests. We became good friends and stayed good friends for years. When we both turned about 15, what you describe above happened to me when I realized that my buddy was a lovely young woman who not only was cool to hang out with but was also very easy on the eyes.

And yes, I cared about her. A lot.

So what happened exactly? Did you just stop talking to her?

Muddy
05-10-2009, 01:54 PM
No, we kept on being buddies.

Then in what way did you freak?

Muddy

Hmm, well I guess it was just kind of a shock to my system to have these new feelings and discoveries about someone. Pretty weird transition, especially for a 15 year old boy. Was the source of many an emotional up and down for years thereafter too (those teen years).

Of course things changed drastically when we turned 22.

Guys actually mature somewhere between 15 and 22? What changed for you in that time?
