Sorry, not futuristic enough for me. You still have to carry it like a little poncy bag.
I'd prefer it to be incorporated into somekind of garment sleeve, and the batteries are charged/powered by your body when you move. A bit like the stillsuits of Dune.

Strange that you should mention that Halo. A few years ago there was a guy who invented a device which generated electricity while you walked, much like the pump in the heal of the stillsuits. So in theory you could have your wish.

Sorry for the terminological inexactitude. What I meant was, it hasn't been done but there is no reason why it cannot be done now. All the technological advances required have been made. :sqbiggrin:
