Deer don't make great pets, but they do make a great meal.

That was a pretty cool trick with the copter.

I've seen that photo before. That's definitely a baby moose.
I've seen them live and close up. They are truly huge!

Only the males have horns and they are seasonal.
They will regrow a new set of antlers at the beginning of the season and shed them in the end of the season.
What's the purl of Moose?

The plural of moose is moose.
I saw a moose.
I saw six moose.

We used to have them come look in our windows every winter. You lived in the land that harbors the biggest moose on the planet. I've seen a few real trophies in the wild while deer hunting in Maine, US and Manitoba, CA. A good trophy male is a sight to behold indeed. I wouldn't advise messing with a male during the rut though, but other than that they're pretty docile, I've walked up very close to many completely wild moose. It's easy to distinguish their sapling rubs from deer rubs due to their significantly higher position on the saplings. They make rubs on saplings out of frustration from increased testosterone levels during the rut, to mark territory, and early in the rut to remove velvet from the antlers.

oops, actually I believe that it was my Saskatchewan, CA trip, not the Manitoba one.

Yep. Mothers can be rather protective of offspring too but other than that and males in rut like you said, they're pretty laid back.

Have you not figured out when I'm kidding yet?

Although, what are future humans going to dig up in millions of years time if we go around saving all these little Bambis from the realities of nature. Natural Selection. The damn thing should've known it was not a seal.

I've done some rather extensive research on these particular ruminants.

Thus I am a vegetarian by eating good cow meat.

But I grab a butcher knife and slice them until they are silent.

That sounds like a very efficient way to silence an eggplant. I'll have to try that. Shouting "SHUTUP!" was not giving me the results I wanted...

Saw on a cooking show.
He took eggplant and instead of cooking slices.
He made noodles.
Cut them into strips.
Looked delicious.
Told wife, must try that one day.

So, next time we go to grocery store and I see wife getting eggplant, I will be expecting that dish only.
