Can you add more time to edit post?
It looks like now we have only 60 second before "Edited" line added to the Post.
How about if you make it 5 minutes at least?

And also time of editing cut off. It would be nice if you can make it 60 minutes.

I chose the current values for a reason. (And I am not exempt from them)

Five minutes is more than enough time to edit your post from the time you hit the submit button. What's worse, is when someone edits a post that someone has already replied to or is replying to. That starts to make a mess of things in the long run. And, it doesn't matter if the post is tagged with "edited by". The option to edit it is still open for 5 minutes.

For example, in 5 minutes, I can post a ridiculous statement in the political threads, someone responds to it, and then I edit out the ridiculousness.
All in under 5 minutes.

Last two sentences were edited into this post individually without tripping the edited by addition. ;)

I had to edit in this third sentence to get it.

The only reason I mentioned timing is because of PM subject
Have I had few more minutes, I could done better in dealing with the issue.
Otherwise, I'm fine with how you had set it up now
