Henry Markram on TED.com says the mysteries of the mind can be solved -- soon. Mental illness, memory, perception: they're made of neurons and electric signals, and he plans to find them with a supercomputer that models all the brain's 100,000,000,000,000 synapses.(Recorded at TEDGlobal, July 2009, Oxford, UK. There's a lot of interesting stuff on that TED.COM website.

I believe that's where the story on moving electricity through the air wirelessly was.
And I've already seen wireless cell phone chargers on the market!

If we can actually start to unravel some of the mysteries of the brain, we could probably unlock a ton of secrets.
