That seems only logical :sqlaugh:

I grew up with Star Trek, and loved the New Generation. But they both look a little dated now. It is enjoyable to dip into the ST universe now and again.

My favourite character was Spock from the original and ironically Data from STNG. Data was suppose to be Spock's equivalent.

Yeah, but for odd reasons, we missed it at the cinemas.

Scott was in the last incarnation of the Star Trek franchise, Enterprise. He only got 5 series I think. All the others got 7.

Even using the attachment feature they have to be re-sized first or they can be too huge. For example I had to re-size those. 640 x 480 is just right!

For example I had to re-size those. 640 x 480 is just right!Nah, there should be an action to force anything greater than a certain size to a thumbnail, I don't know if that feature comes installed in VB as default though, but the trick is to use the attachment feature only, without using a url, in which case you'd need to save the pics to your puter rather than calling them from the site.

That would be a beautiful thing and maybe Zap has it set that way here (or can set it that way). Over "elsewhere" it's not set that way and I have to re-size everything. I just assumed I would here too, so I did!

Atom
19-08-2009, 02:00 PM
(...) Over "elsewhere" it's not set that way and I have to re-size everything. (...)Are you sure about that? If you attach a pic saved on your computer, then the thumbnail feature should automatically size it to a thumbnail, no matter what size it is.

Muddy
19-08-2009, 02:03 PM
Yeah, it occurred to me that you're referring to just leaving it as a thumbnail that then gets clicked. In which case, yes it automatically defaults to thumbnail size. But if you want to display the pic in full size so viewers don't have to click the thumbnail, then it requires re-sizing.

Yes, but you posted that, I didn't. I'm trying to explain to you how to post an attachment,
you simply have the attachment feature call it from your computer rather than a url.

Atom
19-08-2009, 02:19 PM
My post numbers 47 and 50 had no problem, even though they are huge,
because the attachment feature called them from my computer.

The trick is to not use a url.

Atom
19-08-2009, 02:33 PM
How to post an attachment:

1) Save the pic to your computer.

2) Use a "Browse" button in the attachment window to locate it, then "Upload".

It's really as simple as that, and it doesn't matter how big the pic is.
When it's done uploading you can then submit the post.

Right, but then it's a thumbnail, which is fine. Now that I think about it, who needs it to be a big picture anyway? Must just be pure laziness. I need to get right up off my sorry ass and click the thumbnails.

Speaking of laziness, it takes more effort to post a pic any other way than what I described. Think about it. Re-sizing and all that? Screw that, ya know? Unless of course you want a particular url to be present for the crawlers.
