Me and Atom were discussing the speed of light thing yesterday in the Large Hadron Collider thread, going off topic as usual, hence when I came across this article it seemed to make sense to poke it in that thread.

No matter, it deserves it's own thread.

I missed them boasting about the actual speed. The speed of light is 299792458 m/s, until I have some exact measurements of the speed hey claimed they observed in their experiment I have no reason whatsoever to believe they actually made any observation at all.

I also want to address the journalists sensational article in which he claims that this would change anything about Einstein's theory; it does not, even if it is true.
