Now I think I've tried mightily, mightily I say, to love one another, but I'm starting to run out of bail money.

When somebody says... Yeah I know, I was young once, then you gotta be thinking well they surely must mean once upon a time but then you gotta ask yourself ok which time are we talking about here now? Mid twenties? Infancy? Can you please be a little more specific?

We got Mission:Impossible from '67 going on right now, that's some pretty dire stuff, I never watched that one too much. I was usually over at my girlfriend's parent's basement and they didn't have a TV down there.

Whatever happened to the good old days of linoleum floors and homemade dandelion wine I'll never know. It's now like... did that even really happen? I mean, it just seems like a dream now, aquatic shower curtains and the whole nine yards.

If you didn't have some kind of sea life on your shower curtains well... maybe you could get a job at the bakery or something and I'm like dude... I can't even toast bread properly and you're like... well have you considered selling shoes?

Our laundry room has an old linoleum floor that we haven't bothered to replace yet... if that represents memories, then memories are pretty nasty...

What about that miracle fabric naugahyde? My parents had a large, uncomfortable, scaly naugahyde couch in their basement for years. When they finally decided to get rid of it, they couldn't figure out how to get it out of the basement without reducing it into small pieces. Then they wondered how they got the thing in the house and down the stairs in the first place. Maybe it was like one of those 19th century banks where they just built the entire building around the vault?

I think I saw that scrawled on one of those sports arena trough urinals once. Someone apparently thought we needed a distraction as we all peed in a line together and increased the intensity of the already intense smell of beer urine.

I went to the doc today. He said your whatchamacallit is elevated rather significantly. Something to do with the prostate, and he tried to get me to go to a urologist and I'm thinking, yeah, that ain't happening, dude. I'm just here for my goddamned breathing meds.

So I ended up settling for a blood test to see if the level was still elevated or if it was just a fluke, as he was going by test results that were six months old and done at a different medical establishment. If it turns out to be still significantly elevated then I'm about 99% sure I still will not make an appointment with a Urologist. I've always been kinda stubborn like that I guess.

Men are prone to prostate cancer, apparently. I guess it's a good thing I don't give a shit.

He mentioned something about living longer and I told him, well... I'm not particularly interested in seeing how long I can extend my life. I was just being honest. I think he got the gist after that. It was my first time at this establishment so I reckoned I should do a little establishin', myself. Just gimme the damned breathing meds will ya?, is all I was thinking through the whole prostate lecture.
