    A note on storage...

My first hard drive was (I think) MFM and was a whopping 10 Mb. Yes, megabytes, not gigabytes or terabytes.

Never. I even (try to) keep up with your posts when I log in. If there wasn’t so much to read, maybe I’d post more.

Did you ever have a Jazz drive? Boyfriend of a friend had acces to cutting edge tech in 97. He even had a laser printer in his student bedroom!

Hmmm... I never thought of that. Good point. And I know what you mean. I post so much that even I refuse to read them. Once in a while I'll skim over the last dozen or so though, just to see how drunk I was.

What if every active member here posted like me? Can you imagine? The place would be a real nuthouse I think.

Speaking of which, I think American Dad is right on the heels of Family Guy, if not right on top of it. American Dad is proving to be just as good if not better.

Ed tried posting like me a couple of times and I thought he did very well, even better than me, but he quit. I can't say that I blame him though, it's not that easy being crazy.

I remember when Ferre tried it as well once. He wasn't actually too bad but I told him he needed more practice.

Well I gave up on the internet for a couple of weeks over the Festivast. But thought I would just pop my head round the door to wish you all the very best of the season and a good year. Do we need it after 2018!?! I think we do.

BTW I would highly recommend a hiatus from the online world, it helps to get life into perspective. I'll be doing even more of it this year with any luck.

However, I love posting on the internet. It's like someone is actually listening.

Like Atom, I also like posting online. I guess we're both screwed then. Oh well. At least we have this forum to post in. If people want to listen, they can. If not, then they'll probably never find us here.

To me, this is the "old" internet that I used to love and frolic upon. I miss the days when you could log into a forum and find 200 new messages to respond to. There was even a decent chance of finding a good discussion. It actually happened now and again. But alas. The Internet went the way I expected, actually it went worse, I never expected people to fall for something as vacuous and as obviously exploitative as Facebook. I guess they fell for the election of 1840, and many other things since, so I guess it's a tradition.

I have taken a large break from the "new" Internet. I rarely hang out there. It's scary and surreal and by this time populated mostly with bots. It has a "Stepford Wives" feel to it.

Er... Did you mean, from different people?
