BTW, ts, if you ever open up PS and up pops a window asking you if you want to make a scratch disk or set the color, I forget what exactly it says, then that means your history states have been reset to default and you have to go into the settings and set it back to where you want it.

All the settings in the preferences panel actually will revert to default settings when that scratch disc pop-up appears, but the only other setting I mess with is the Recent Files list under File Handling which I set at 30.

Oh and I set the Rulers to pixels under Units & Rulers, but those are the only three settings that I have to change when that happens. It doesn't happen very often though, once every year or two I guess, I'm not even sure what causes it.

Yeah i've done that already (although it was ages ago and I can't remember how/where I did...but it's in pixels).

That's weird, unless you haven't been using it very long which I assume isn't the case. Maybe I don't have sufficient resources to run it or something. It's happened to me about a dozen times in the last 7 years or so.

I've been using it about 4 years now. Although I've went through probably about 5 re-intalls in that time (because of new versions, new OS install, etc) so that could be why it's not happened.

Yeah that may be it then, my version is PS7 and it's the only version I've ever had, and I've only re-formatted the PC twice in that 7 years and the last format was done about 4 years ago.

Oh right, probably is a problem that they fixed by now.
I get PS cheap through uni, so i've got CS3 at the moment (the uni havn't got CS4 cheap yet for some reason).
