He used to be a member of Take That, a very popular boy band some years ago. He split with them and went on to have a remarkably successful solo career, signing a reputed £50 million record contract with Sony a few years back. I suspect his success has not translated across the pond, but he is famous, at least locally and with a certain younger generation.
Not really my cup of tea, but saying that he has released a few good tracks. I'm ambivalent towards him.
